Getting to the Bottom of the Warning Light
A check engine light can mean anything from a loose gas cap to a failing catalytic converter. The trouble code only tells us where to start looking; the testing that follows tells us what actually failed. At Auto Repair Fraser that means live sensor data, smoke testing for leaks, electrical checks and a drive under real conditions.
Cold starts and the thin air at this elevation can bring certain faults to the surface sooner, like lean conditions and misfires on a long climb. Testing the vehicle under those same conditions is how we find them reliably and get the repair right the first time.
